Another reason why resilience matters in the workplace is that it decreases burnout. Burnout is when you lose passion for the work you’re doing. This causes people to experience presenteeism, which is when you aren’t fully switched on at work.

Those who are resilient, however, are able to turn off their thoughts about work when they get home. In other words, it allows them to leave the stress and worries of work at the office.
